Identity Management & Cloud Security – There’s a Workflow for That
- TYPE: Keynote DATE: Tuesday, April 17, 2012 TIME: 19:10-19:30 LOCATION: Auditorium
Cloud computing has brought the promise of previously unachievable organizational efficiencies from its economies scale but has resulted in a paradigm shift in how IT must view and manage organizational boundaries. The modern business is essentially an “organization without borders” as concepts such as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), the API economy, use of Social Media Logins in a business setting, and federated provisioning have changed the landscape. Gone are the halcyon days where the business of IdM was the synchronization of Identities and related data. What can possibly pull together this web of complex processes, protocols, and interdependencies into a coherent and manageable whole that is able to withstand the rigors of a modern compliance audit? The missing ingredient or “glue” is Business Process Automation, known more commonly as “workflow.”
In his keynote, Patrick Parker, CEO of The Dot Net Factory, will provide insights and examples of the emerging role of workflow technology in taming the challenges of Cloud Computing while allowing organizations to reap the full benefits of this revolution.
