Juliana began her 27 years in the technology industry from a very different trajectory, building solutions for ski resorts to move more people up mountains simply, quickly, affordably and without risk of repudiation. During her career she has architected many innovations such as: new protocols for mobile POS, adoption of EMV for mobile commerce, payment tokenization, access control, fraud prevention, mobile security and digital wallets.
She believes that identity is a fundamental aspect of digital interaction and that both the public and private sectors play a vital role in the digital transformation necessary to secure those interactions. She puts that belief into action by volunteering with DIACC as a co-chair of the Trusted Framework Expert Committee, a member of the Innovation Expert Committee, Digital Wallet Design Team, and Technology and Infrastructure Design Teams.
As a member of the standards team at Microsoft she is focused on the alignment of Trust Frameworks, Public Policy, and standards to lay a foundation for global interoperability and trust. She is engaged in collaborative work with specific vertical focus on healthcare, government and financial services applied to public policy integration with existing identity standards and frameworks as well as emerging credential models such as mobile drivers licenses and verifiable credentials.
