Donnie Wendt is a security engineer for MasterCard responsible for the design, architecture, and configuration of the security controls and monitoring protecting the MasterCard networks. His professional background includes over 30 years, the last 15 of which have been at Mastercard. He is also an adjunct professor of cybersecurity at Utica College. Donnie has been an active member of the Integrated Cyber community, presenting at past conferences and participating in panel discussions. Also, Donnie led Mastercard's involvement in an integrated pilot of the IACD framework with Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab, the FS-ISAC, and two other financial services companies.
Donnie earned a Master's degree in Cybersecurity from Utica College and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Webster University. He maintains a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Science in Computer Science with an emphasis in Cybersecurity from Colorado Technical University. His research and dissertation focused on security automation and adaptive cyber defense within the financial services industry.
