She is a founding co-director of CSMIC and is working with industry, academic, and standards-setting organizations to develop the Service Measurement Index (SMI) to support potential adopters of public, private, and hybrid cloud services for a range of cloud-based services. CSMIC’s work is being made available to the public and the initial framework of important cloud characteristics was published in September, 2011. Current work is focused on developing measures for a set of 51 attributes to enable decision-makers to make comparative judgments among providers about cloud services they may acquire.
