Dr. Markus Held

Dr. Markus Held joined BaFin in early 2010. Since then, he has worked on fundamental issues in the supervision of IT-security, IT-infrastructures and IT-Governance in banks. On behalf of BaFin, he also accompanied several IT assessments of German banks by the Deutsche Bundesbank. In October, 2011 he was the first member of BaFin's new division BA 58 "IT-infrastructures in banks". Prior to his work at BaFin, he studied Computer Science at the Eberhard Karls Universität in Tübingen, where he was granted a doctor's degree in 2010.
