Director of Software Production, XenServer Group, Citrix Systems

Richard Sharp

Richard is Director of Software Production for the XenServer Engineering group within Citrix. He was previously a Principal Engineer at XenSource where he led a development team and made a significant personal contribution to the XenServer codebase. Richard has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge and has held research positions at Intel and AT&T Laboratories, authoring over 30 publications and patents in the fields of compiler implementation, programming language design, hardware design, security, virtualization and systems engineering. He is a Fellow and Director of Studies for Computer Science at Robinson College, University of Cambridge where he is responsible for undergraduate computer science teaching.
