Al Lynn is the Vice President of Engineering for Cisco’s Emerging Technology and Incubations (ET&I) creating new inventions in software and hardware while opening new markets with customers, partners, startups and academia in Cisco. He is also leading Future Product Innovation and Engineering (FPIE), a Cisco in-house engineering venture factory. Lynn is a former Lieutenant General in the U.S. Department of Defense who was personally responsible for classified and unclassified innovations in networks, in security, in frequency spectrum and cyber defense to include U.S. Presidential Communications.
