Peter Guerra is the North America Chief Data Scientist in Accenture's Applied Intelligence practice. He is responsible for leading the data science/ML engineering business to help North American clients transform through innovative AI solutions at scale. He has over 15 years of experience in creating strategic data science, machine learning, and AI solutions for commercial businesses in Life Sciences, Retail, Energy, Transportation, Finance, Health, and other sectors. He has also lead data science practices for US Federal government clients (Law Enforcement, DoD, Intelligence Community, Health, Civil) at Booz Allen Hamilton where he was responsible for the architecture and implementation of one of the world’s largest data clusters for machine learning of cyber security data. He is an O'Reilly author and has had the privilege of speaking at numerous industry events, including Aspen Institute, SAS keynote, NVIDIA GTC, Blackhat, Hadoop Summit, Strata+Hadoop, and more. He has earned a BA in English, BS in Computer Science from University of Maryland, an MBA from Loyola University, and is currently working on his PhD in Artificial Intelligence at UMBC focusing on AI and cyber security.
