Ian Litton is the Commissioning Lead at Warwickshire County Council. He has fulfilled a number of different roles at WCC, from systems development through to strategy development. He was the WCC e-Government Project Manager from 2000 to 2006 with a remit to transform the delivery of services through digital channels. From 2010 to 2012 Ian worked on the award winning Connect Digitally Programme that transformed the application process for Free School Meals across the country. Until recently he was the Strategy, Programme and Information Manager in Information Assets. For the past two and a half years he has been working closely with The Government Digital Service, the Open Identity Exchange and private sector partners to demonstrate how the Government's identity management solution, Verify, can be used to underpin efficient, real-time exchange of data between organisations in order to deliver transformational on-line services in the public sector. This work has been documented in a series of white papers available on the OIX web site.
