Vladislava Toukalek

I am Head of IT Infrastructure and Support Services at World Meteorological Organization (WMO), responsible for the delivery of cost effective, well managed and secure ICT services and systems that meet organizational requirements, user expectation and facilitate the work of the organization. My responsibilities also include strategic management and oversight of ICT security. During my 20 years in the industry, I held positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of management of information and telecommunication systems, both in private and public sector. I have the record of successfully promoting, developing and implementing new and innovative services and procedures. Recent success stories include virtualization, migration to the cloud, BYOD implementation, implementation of paperless meetings and technology enabled reduction in the organization’s carbon footprint. Passionate advocate of cloud computing, agile management and Green IT, I hold M.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering, am MBCS CITP, PMI, itSMF and IEEE member. I live and work in Geneva, Switzerland.
