The Year 2018 brings disruptive regulations like GDPR and PSD2. The GDPR, created to strengthen customer privacy and help to grow the digital finance environment in EU, will be implemented in the first half of 2018. It will affect any business entity processing EU citizen data. The companies will have to adapt to the new ways of accountability (data compliance, 72-hour breach disclosure…).

By giving access to customer’s online account (XS2A), PSD2 lays the foundation for new and exciting digital payments system. Many new opportunities arise through the innovative and wide-ranging usage of APIs which can be mutually beneficial for banks, TPPs, and customers.

New and changing regulations are creating the necessity of streamlined marketing compliance.  Furthermore, quality and compliance of data are becoming extremely important as a Sales Support Function. More advanced regulatory management solutions by using machine learning, augmented intelligence and data analytics are becoming available. AI and modern data automation algorithms can remove human errors and strengthen KYC and compliance capabilities, monitor regulatory changes and implement controls and surveillance.
