For more than 20 years, he has been working at the intersection of business and technology, bringing verifiable credentials and wallets into existing architectures and using them to build new, trusted digital processes across organizations.

As CIO of esatus AG, he shapes the technological direction together with his team and works on solutions that extend existing IAM and KYC landscapes instead of replacing them. One result is SOWL, esatus’ platform for verifiable digital identity, designed to make identity processes usable, verifiable, and scalable across system boundaries.

Business-driven yet tech-savvy, he combines strategic thinking with a deep understanding of how systems behave in practice. He contributes to initiatives such as TeleTrusT, Open Wallet Foundation, Trust over IP, and DIDAS, helping shape standards and real-world identity ecosystems.

His roots go back to the early days of digital culture, from the demoscene to retro computing, which still shapes how he thinks about technology today.
