Patrick Salyer serves as General Manager of the SAP Customer Data Cloud and is responsible for driving vision, strategy and day-to-day operations. Under his leadership, the SAP Customer Data Cloud has become the industry leading platform for helping companies build trusted digital relationships with over 1.3 billion consumers. With the SAP Customer Data Cloud, businesses identify customers across channels and devices, build trusted digital relationships with consumers based on transparency and control, and power engaging, personalized experiences with first-party data.
Patrick previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Gigya, leading business strategy and operations for more than 10 years prior to the company’s acquisition by SAP in 2017. Under his leadership, Gigya raised more than $100 million in venture funding and grew the company to more than 300 employees, ultimately creating the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) category, in which Gigya was named an overall leader by technology analyst firms Gartner, Forrester and KuppingerCole.
Before joining Gigya, Patrick began his career at L.E.K. Consulting, a strategy consulting firm. Patrick holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University. In 2015, he was selected as a Silicon Valley Business Journal 40 under 40, and in 2018, he was named one of One World Identity’s “Top 100 Influencers in Identity.” He lives in Silicon Valley with his wife and 3 daughters (all under five), and enjoys basketball, surfing, playing the multiplayer board game, Settlers of Catan, and heading out on intense survival trips ranging from jungle to arctic environments.
