Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been around for decades. But now, with the increasing computational power available, and with significant investments from large technology companies like Google, IBM and Amazon, and from governments like China, we are experiencing AI on its way to developing a game changing impact on how we live, work and do business. In this KCx Talk we will look at the promise of current AI deployments, their challenges, implications, and risks, and we will discuss the way how AI will influence our future.

From ALEXA to self-driving cars, from medical diagnostics to robotics - AI seems to rapidly progress to a mainstream technology profoundly changing the way we live and do business. Inspired by the way the human brain works, Deep Learning, a subfield of Machine Learning is gaining traction and is tipped to change the way we live and work. While no one questions its immense advantages, the whole field of AI is loaded with questions, probably more than any other wave of technology, which we have experienced lately. the debate over AI raises moral and ethical questions together with technical ones. What AI is good at and bad at? what can it and cannot do? And where are its limits?


What is or soon will be a reality and what will remain an illusion? Are truly autonomous cars just around the corner or do we need another decade or even more until we can purchase them? This KCx Talk will try to find answers on what we can expect and how we should prepare, what the challenges and opportunities of AI, Machine Learning and Deep Learning are and will be, and conclusions we should draw for our business and for our social life.
