KCx Talk & Happy Hour - Cyber-Threat Landscape - Building Security for a Post-Pandemic Future
- TYPE: KCx Talks DATE: November 10, 2020 TIME: 5 PM - 6:30 PM CET
What is a KCx Talk?
KCx Talks are after-hours events with visionary talks and stimulating discussions in an exclusive environment with a limited number of participants. In the interests of health, KCx Talks are currently virtual but still offer networking opportunities via our event platform. To compensate for the lack of face-to-face interaction, all participants will receive a complimentary bottle of fine red wine from Darktrace, the sponsor of this KCx Talk.
What will be the topics of this KCx Talk?
The COVID-19 pandemic has, unfortunately, become the springboard for a variety of targeted attacks against governments, businesses, and individuals.
KuppingerCole Analyst John Tolbert will look at the various techniques malicious actors developed to exploit the pandemic situation, and evolving methods and tools that security professionals are using to combat the rising tide of COVID related fraud, such as phishing campaigns that were devised with the intent of stealing credentials.
Max Heinemeyer, Director of Threat Hunting at Darktrace, will give a product-agnostic overview of what type of threats Darktrace observed since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic from March 2020 onwards. This includes automated malware, sophisticated double-threat ransomware, targeted APT attacks, novel phishing campaigns and more.
After the inspiring talks, participants get the opportunity to network, chat and enjoy some wine together. A complimentary bottle will be sent to each participant in time for the event and we will host a professional wine tasting under the professional guidance of Philip Mandelkow, owner of My Winery.
