Mr. Bernabeu was appointed GlobalPlatform's Technical Director in 2005, after serving as Chair of the Systems Committee for over two years. His main role is to drive the development of GlobalPlatform Specifications to deploy secure digital services and devices and promote open ecosystems.
As well as acting as GlobalPlatform's central technical liaison point, he coordinates the efforts of the organization's three technical committees (SE, TEE and Systems), aligns the GlobalPlatform market-focused Task Forces with external partners, and oversees the Certification Secretariat to ensure all elements of GlobalPlatform-based solutions are secure, interoperable and retain backwards compatibility to ensure ROI.
