Mads is a usable privacy and security enthusiast and professional. He is working at the Security Lab at The Alexandra Institute in Aarhus, Denmark, where he and his colleagues are working with novel and state or the art security and privacy technologies and solutions. He has an academic background with a PhD in computer science from Aarhus University in Denmark and has worked several years as a postdoc – last year at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, USA where he worked with usable privacy. Mads is a firm believer in giving the power back to the user and at the same time making solutions that are usable for all – not just expert – users. That is, the need to produce solutions that empower without overwhelming.
