Karyn Higa-Smith is a Program Manager at the Science and Technology Directorate under the Homeland Security Advance Research Projects Agency, Cyber Security Division. The Cyber Security Division is working to strengthen America’s security and resiliency by providing knowledge products and innovative technology solutions for the Homeland Security missions, Public Safety, All Hazards across the country and world at all levels of government, partnering and collaborating with industry and academia. Ms. Higa-Smith manages projects in Identity Management and Data Privacy initiatives. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering at Clemson University and is a certified Identity Management professional from the Naval Postgraduate School. She has 15 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) Security, Information Assurance, and Security Audit and Assessments for the U.S. Department of Defense and DHS.
