Privilege Management From the Cloud: Go or No-Go?
- LANGUAGE: English DATE: Thursday, September 06, 2018 TIME: 4:00pm CEST, 10:00am EDT, 7:00am PDT
Even for large organizations, planning and operating a multi-site Privilege Management infrastructure can be a demanding and complex task. Can Privilege Management from the Cloud solve this challenge? Or is the cost to pay in terms of security and risk too high, compared to the benefits in operations? Or are cloud-based deployments, secured and operated by the vendor, not anyway the better choice in terms of security and risk, if done right?
In this webinar, Martin Kuppinger, Principal Analyst at KuppingerCole, will look at the benefits and challenges of running Privilege Management in the Cloud. He also will present the requirements for using such environments, including tenant versus provider responsibility and the functional and non-functional criteria to rate when selecting such a solution.
After Martin´s introduction, WALLIX Area Sales Director Stefan Rabben will present two different use cases from heavily regulated industries: aerospace and healthcare. Stefan will focus on the practical side of how to understand and decrease risks associated with privileged accounts and credentials.
During the presentations, attendees can type their questions into a dialog box. Martin and Markus will then answer them after the 2 presentations.
WALLIX is a software editor offering privileged access management, compliance, and traceability solutions. WALLIX has succeeded in combining the three core requirements of managing privileged users, password management, access control and traceability, into a single easy to deploy solution - The WALLIX Bastion.
The Bastion was designed to meet the needs of Chief Information Officers and Chief Information Security Officers to improve governance of access to sensitive data and company computing.
WALLIX GROUP, an Alternext-listed company, is based in Paris, London, Munich and Dubai. More than 500 organizations have chosen WALLIX to secure their information systems, including Gulf Air, Maroc Telecom, McDonald’s, Michelin, PSA Peugeot-Citroën and Quick.
As the growing number of high-profile data breaches indicates, even the largest companies are still struggling with implementing consistent enterprise-wide information security measures. Setting up various security tools for numerous different applications, services, and heterogeneous systems and then making them work together efficiently is a massive challenge.
Blockchain is still on everyone’s lips and the 2019 can be the year when large enterprises finally embrace the distributed ledger technology. KuppingerCole's inaugural blockchain-themed event will go beyond the hype and will present you real use cases and applications for your enterprise. Blockchain Enterprise Days (#BeDays19) will take place on September 18-19, 2019 in Frankfurt, Germany.
