Privilege Management From the Cloud: Go or No-Go?
- LANGUAGE: English DATE: Thursday, September 06, 2018 TIME: 4:00pm CEST, 10:00am EDT, 7:00am PDT
The digital transformation is changing the way we do business, and it is also changing the way we have to keep our increasingly complex IT infrastructure agile and flexible yet secure and compliant. Managing geographically dispersed cloud/hybrid environments and the privileged access to servers and other systems therein is a challenging task.
Even for large organizations, planning and operating a multi-site Privilege Management infrastructure can be a demanding and complex task. Can Privilege Management from the Cloud solve this challenge? Or is the cost to pay in terms of security and risk too high, compared to the benefits in operations? Or are cloud-based deployments, secured and operated by the vendor, not anyway the better choice in terms of security and risk, if done right?
In this webinar, Martin Kuppinger, Principal Analyst at KuppingerCole, will look at the benefits and challenges of running Privilege Management in the Cloud. He also will present the requirements for using such environments, including tenant versus provider responsibility and the functional and non-functional criteria to rate when selecting such a solution.
After Martin´s introduction, WALLIX Area Sales Director Stefan Rabben will present two different use cases from heavily regulated industries: aerospace and healthcare. Stefan will focus on the practical side of how to understand and decrease risks associated with privileged accounts and credentials.
During the presentations, attendees can type their questions into a dialog box. Martin and Markus will then answer them after the 2 presentations.
A software company providing cybersecurity solutions, WALLIX Group is a European specialist in privileged account governance. In response to recent regulatory change (NIS/GDPR in Europe and OVIs in France) and the cybersecurity threats affecting all companies today, the Bastion helps users protect their critical IT assets: data, servers, terminals and connected objects.
It is the first market solution to have been awarded first-level security certification (CSPN) by France’s National Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI) and thus meet all of the criteria for regulatory compliance.
WALLIX accompanies more than 770 companies and organizations on a day-to-day basis. Its solutions are marketed through a network of more than 160 resellers and trained and accredited integrators.
When it comes to identity management many companies depend heavily on Microsoft Active Directory (AD). This high degree of dependency on one service can become a problem when this service faces an outage. Also, respective of the requirements companies have, all services have certain limitations which are sometimes necessary to overcome. Many cyberattacks are perpetrated via staff endpoint devices (computers, smartphones or even printers). This necessitates a fine-mesh risk management approach with a centralized solution, called Identity Fabric at KuppingerCole.
Come to the place where the Digital Transformation is happening. The European Identity & Cloud Conference, held from September 13 - 16, 2021, offers a mixture of best practice discussions, visionary presentations, and networking opportunities with a future-oriented community. More than 1000 thought leaders, leading vendors, analysts, executives, and end-users get together in Munich to be inspired by a list of world-class speakers.
