Identity & Access Management Experts DayLOCATION: Canberra, Australia DATE: Wednesday, February 19, 2014 TIME: 7:30am - 4:30pm AEDT
The Identity and Access Management Experts Day will delve into two topics that are of crucial importance to government. The morning session will focus on eCitizen services – models for identity provider services and assurance frameworks. We will discuss the Open Identity eXchange initiative and the drivers behind NSTIC. The specifics of the Australian environment and data sovereignty issues will be discussed and the potential for trusted environments such as the banks to act as operators of digital identity stores.
In the afternoon we’ll switch gears and look at the issues surrounding moving applications to the cloud. We’ll look at the main cloud environments and investigate specifically how identities are managed in the cloud. The requirements of an Identity-as-a-Service offering will be discussed as one of the attributes to be considered in selecting a cloud service provider.
Well finish with a presentation on cloud readiness – how to prepare your organisation for the move from on-premises to cloud services.
For those that are new to the area of identity and access management – come to the pre-event to learn the terminology and main issues facing organisations building an identity and access management capability.
