Dr. Daniel Fett

Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science for the development of new methods for analyzing the security of web standards. Leveraging this background, he has worked for the past several years to advance the state of the art in authentication and authorization standards security. With his contributions to the OAuth 2.0 Security Best Current Practice and FAPI 2, he has been instrumental in raising the bar for secure implementations and introducing the use of formal analysis to the identity standards space.

In the field of digital identity wallets, Daniel serves as an editor of the SD-JWT and SD-JWT VC specifications and is a key contributor to the OpenID for Verifiable Credentials (OpenID4VC) specifications.

Currently, Daniel works with SPRIN-D (the Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation) to help design and build the infrastructure for Germany’s national implementation of the European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet, aiming to deliver a trusted and user-centric digital identity ecosystem across Europe.
