Marie Wallace

Marie has spent more than two decades applying AI to a variety of use cases with specific focus on computer-human interaction, starting with her early work on natural language processing to smart assistants, recommendation systems, personalization techniques, and human network analysis. This work has fueled Marie's passion for the ethics of data and led her to focus her work on technology that empowers individuals with their own data. In recent years Marie has been particularly interested in the application of decentralized identity and verifiable credentials as a way to reimagine how data is exchanged within a digital society, to build an equitable decentralized data economy that puts the person at the center.
