How to Hunt Threats Effectively With Network Detection & Response Solutions

The number of cyber-attacks globally continue to rise. Attacks are growing increasingly sophisticated. The tactics, techniques and procedures that were once only used by well-funded state actors are being commoditized by cybercriminals. State actors sometimes employ tools that were formerly mostly used by cybercriminals. The threat landscape evolves continuously.
Most organizations have or at least know they should have Endpoint Security on every endpoint. This includes Endpoint Protection Platforms (EPP) such as anti-malware and more and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR). However, sometimes malware slips past defenses. In other cases, there are devices on enterprise networks that are not capable of running EPP/EDR agents, such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Medical devices are particularly at risk. Thus, without effective coverage at the endpoint, the network is the place of last resort to discover and mitigate some cyber-attacks.
In this webinar, we will
- Explore the Network Detection & Response (NDR) product space
- Look at the use cases NDR technologies are designed to address
- Also look at how they can be deployed, and the functional criteria to evaluate when considering adding NDR to your security architecture
- Discuss KuppingerCole's Leadership Compass methodology and show some of the results of the new Leadership Compass on NDR
KuppingerCole Lead Analyst John Tolbert will explain the significance of endpoint protection and look at the results of the Leadership Compass on NDR.
He will be joined by Spencer Lichtenstein, Product & Go-To-Market Strategist at RSA, who will discuss how hunt threats effectively and customize indicators of compromise with NDR solutions.

Cloud computing and mobile workforces have resulted in an expanding attack surface and a complex web of identify information. This means that traditional perimeter-based security models are no longer effective. A Zero Trust model of strict access control for every user and device enables businesses to be connected and secure, but an effective identity-focused approach is essential.
