Hello and welcome to this year's European Identity and Cloud Conference. Before we kick off this day with amazing keynotes ahead, I quickly have some information around the event and with no further ado, I continue with the KuppingerCole events app. I know most of you already have it, but if not, you definitely should download it because you have not only the option to review the agenda, schedule the day, you know it's packed and a lot in parallel and this makes it much easier to plan ahead.
You can also schedule meetings where you have a good bunch of networking areas around and take the advantage to meet a lot of people and make the most out of it. Of course, you receive then as well push notifications and can ask questions, participate in polls and interact with everybody on site here. The point ask question is my next app. This slide is very important for you. You can already scan it because this is the way how you can ask questions. Just scan it.
You don't need to put any further information, only your question, and it will come up here on stage for our moderator and directly to the speaker. You have maybe already found it, the Wi-Fi and the password, and if you haven't seen it somewhere around, the most easy way is to find it on the back side of your registration card. So if you cannot find it, here it is. If you have the app, then you have the opportunity to take part in this year's gamification. How does it work this year?
We will, yeah, the winners will be the ones who do the most meetings. So schedule meetings with people in here as much as you can. The only criteria is at least ten of the meetings should be with our wonderful sponsors outside there. So the first three people who have the most meetings done throughout the week are the winners and will be informed next week after the conference. What can you win?
After EIC is before EIC, we say, so you win different package sizes for our next year's EIC, again here in Berlin in May, and the first prize is a ticket, of course, a Berlin welcome card, accommodation for three nights, and three months of our KC membership, and by the way, included with every KC membership is a Spreetour ticket for next year as well. So the second prize is a bit smaller, welcome card and six-month membership, and in the end, you have the ticket and the membership included, so, yeah, happy to be part. I hope a lot of you take the opportunity. Some networking information.
This year's evening, we have our EIC award ceremony, and this year, we will announce the winners of the two categories, digital ID and enterprise IEM, so we have a lot of good papers coming in, and this evening we will announce the winners, and right after that, we will have our happy hour outside in the outdoor area and downstairs, which is sponsored by our sponsor, Bundesanzeiger Verlag, and tomorrow in the evening, we have our afternoon and drinks and snacks right after the last presentation, which is sponsored by Namirial. I already mentioned it, we have our Spray River cruise already.
I hope you got a ticket. It was this year registered by our sponsors, Digital Identity and Keyless. If you are the lucky ones who have a ticket, don't forget to pick up your wristband at the sponsor's booth, because, if you don't have a wristband, no Spreetour for you. Just a small hint, should there be some people who don't pick up their wristbands, watch out for our information in the app announcements coming, because there might be some first-come, first-served seats left, so, yes, good luck for that.
Some sporty news, we have our morning run again, sponsored by DigiCert, and it's on Thursday, very early in the morning, but I think you can do that. Run with us about three kilometres. It's a sightseeing round, and, yes, so grab your shoes. We hope a lot of you want to be a bit sportive on Thursday. Last but not least, you need some help. Watch out for the ones with a lanyard here coping a cold batch. These are the persons who might help you directly or know how to ask for help.
So, yes, feel free to contact us directly or ask questions. And, of course, we would love if you share your moments with us. Use the hashtag EIC2025 and share your moments of this year's conference on the different social media channels.
With that, and no further ado, I'm very happy to welcome your moderator for the keynotes this week on stage, which is my colleague Warwick Ashford, senior analyst from Coping a Cold. Welcome.
Well, hello, everyone, and thank you for that warm welcome. I'd like to extend my personal welcome to the European Identity and Cloud Conference 2025. Welcome to those of you who are here in Berlin, which is great, but also welcome to you that are joining us online.
Well, I know I'm excited to be here this year. The question is, are you excited to be here? Glad to hear it. And the reason I'm excited to be here is because this year I was part of the core EIC agenda building team, along with Andrea Beskes, Matthias Reinhardt, and Philipp Messerschmidt, and so I know exactly how much great content we've got lined up for you this week. And in addition to your usual favourite EIC speakers, we've tried to include as many new, fresh voices and faces on the EIC agenda this year. So I'd like to extend a special welcome to all the new speakers at EIC this year.
I'd also like to welcome the Identity at the Centre podcast team, that's Jim McDonald and Jeff Stedman. So clearly some of you know them, so try and seek them out, make contact, say hi, it's really super to have them. I'd also like to thank all of you who so enthusiastically contributed to the call for speakers this year. I'm sorry we couldn't take all of you, we tried to make the best choices, but please don't be disheartened or discouraged, there is always next year. We've also made a couple of changes, which I'm hoping you will notice and like, so please make contact with us and let us know.
We'd like your feedback, we'd like to know how you feel about the changes, about the agenda in general, your experience here at EIC, because the more we know, the better we can make it into the future. So please make contact and also perhaps sign up for a KC membership, because that will give you access to some exclusive content in general and specifically here at EIC this week. But right now, fasten your seatbelts, because we've got a cracking line-up today of keynote speakers and we're starting as usual with our favourite speaker.
So this year he's going to be speaking on the Identity Fabric for the 2040s. So please give a special warm opening day EIC welcome for – wait for it – Kupinger Co-Founder, Principal Analyst, the one but only Martin
