Fabian Hermann is a researcher and consultant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (Germany) in the field of human-computer interaction and usability engineering. Since 2008 he is the project coordinator for the Fraunhofer Challenge Project “augmented identity” developing a user centric approach for digital identity. In several research and industrial projects he works on user-centered design, innovative user interfaces, interaction design, and socio-economic and organizational factors influencing the user acceptance of new technologies. Fabian Hermann studied psychology with a focus on cognitive psychology and human-computer interaction, and did his PhD at the University of Freiburg on coordination patterns of computer-mediated communication and cooperation.
