Guy Pensa is an identity and cybersecurity executive with nearly four decades of experience across enterprise identity, access management, directory services, security architecture, and large-scale enterprise systems. His career spans the evolution of identity from early network operating systems and directory platforms, including Banyan VINES, Novell NDS, Netscape Directory, Sun Microsystems Directory Server and Identity Manager, through to modern IAM, IGA, PAM, cloud identity, SaaS, OT, and AI-enabled environments. He has held senior advisory, architecture, implementation, and executive roles, working with enterprises through some of the most significant shifts in identity infrastructure.
Guy currently serves as EVP, Identity for the Americas and Europe at Gathid, where he focuses on Enterprise Authority Assurance. His work emphasizes the distinction between identity, access, and authority: identity describes who someone is, access describes what they were assigned, and authority reveals what can actually happen. Drawing on decades of practitioner and executive experience, Guy helps organizations understand effective authority, privilege pathways, delegation, non-human identities, and structural exposure before they become business risk or security incidents.
