Bastian is CTO at Bare.ID, a sovereign German SaaS provider for SSO and IAM. He leads product and engineering for a Keycloak-based platform serving enterprise and public sector customers, including banks, telco providers, and sports clubs, as well as federal and state authorities. His team builds the product that lets organizations combine enterprise-grade IAM security with the operational simplicity their teams need to actually move fast. Through Bare.ID, millions of internal and external user profiles are secured on a platform that stays fully under German control - from the application layer down to the infrastructure it runs on. A core theme in his work is digital sovereignty as an engineering reality, not a marketing claim.
