Max Killinger is a seasoned executive in IT leadership with extensive experience managing international responsibilities and driving transformative initiatives. As the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for BayWa AG in Munich, Germany, Max took over the responsibility for the strategic development of the digital future for the BayWa AG. In times of restructuring there is a lot of potential to drive positive change to the company together with the different business segments. Especially when you strive for massive cost reduction and automation initiatives, IT will be there to leverage many demands by technology or especially AI-Opportunities.
His expertise spans digital business model transformation, IT governance, compliance, information security, and the operation of cutting-edge datacenters and IT infrastructure. One of his key passions is to establish solid and secure Technology as the foundation for people’s success.
For the previous nine years Max has been the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Vice President of Corporate IT at the Hoffmann Group in Munich, Germany, driving the development and execution of IT strategies that align with the organization’s evolving business goals.
Before joining the Hoffmann Group, Max served as Director of IT at Schwarz Dienstleistung KG, the parent company of Lidl and Kaufland, for seven years. During his tenure, he led the IT organization and established a groundbreaking Business Consulting Department, spearheading the digital agenda for the Schwarz Group’s Central Services, founded in 2014. His visionary leadership and ability to align technology with business objectives have consistently delivered innovative solutions and operational excellence.
