Dr. Ron Rymon serves as Vice President for Strategy, in CA Security Business Unit since 2008. Prior to CA, Ron was Founder of Eurekify, the pioneer and leading provider of role & compliance management solutions, where he filled management roles ranging from R&D, to product management, to business development. Ron founded Eurekify in 2002 to address market challenges concerning the implementation of role-based IT management. Using advanced pattern recognition technology, Eurekify was the first company to present a working solution to the role modeling challenge. Together with Azi Cohen, Ron managed Eurekify to become the leading vendor in its space, up until its acquisition by CA. Prior to founding Eurekify, Dr. Rymon founded CrediView, developer of fraud detection and prevention solutions for Internet merchants.
Dr. Rymon is an expert in the strategic and tactical application of data-driven modeling techniques. Through his work in academia, Dr. Rymon authored a novel modeling technique based on SE-trees that he has scientifically shown to generalize and improve upon state-of-the-art data mining technologies. In collaboration with the best domain experts, he successfully applied this technology to a number of scientific problems, as well as business applications in marketing, financial modeling, and insurance risk. Dr. Rymon has consulted extensively with large U.S. and overseas corporations and government agencies. Dr. Rymon holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania (1993), and has been on the research faculty of the University of Pittsburgh, and the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel. He published extensively in scientific journals and conferences.
