Wiesbaden, Germany - October 29, 2026
KuppingerCole Analysts announces the 20th European Identity and Cloud Conference (EIC 2027), taking place May 11–14, 2027, at the bcc Berlin Congress Center and online. Over four days, identity leaders, practitioners, and vendors gather to work through the issues shaping the field, from the governance of AI agents and other non-human identities to post-quantum readiness and the rollout of EU Digital Identity Wallets.
EIC began at the Deutsches Museum in Munich and has been held in Berlin since 2022. Twenty editions on, it is Europe's leading event on digital identity, security, privacy and governance in an AI-driven world, and some attendees have been to every edition so far.

On the agenda
The 2027 program reflects how far identity has moved beyond getting employees into the right systems. Key topics include:
- Non-human identity: governing workloads, devices and AI agents at scale
- Trustworthy AI: autonomous identity decisioning, signals and standards
- Post-quantum identity: future-proofing authentication
- eIDAS 2.0 and global wallet models: interoperability by design
- Identity-centric security: from fraud prevention to ITDR
- Strategic identity governance: control, agility and sovereignty in a cloud-driven world
- Misinformation, disinformation and trust
- Privacy and data protection: guardrails for digital identity
Also on the agenda: zero trust, authorization, decentralized identity, CIAM, and identity for IoT and OT.
First speakers confirmed
The first confirmed speakers include identity practitioners from Novo Nordisk, Resurs Bank, and Aareal Bank, as well as independent experts Eve Maler, founder of Venn Factory, and Heather Flanagan, principal at Spherical Cow Consulting.
More speakers and the full agenda will be published in the coming months.
In 2007, we had to convince people that identity mattered at all. Back then, it meant humans and a few technical accounts. Today it means every identity type, AIdentity included, at a speed and scale we never had to handle before. The question for the next twenty years is how we govern all of them, and who takes responsibility for what they do.
