Wiesbaden, May 15th, 2018 – On Monday, 14th of May 2018, KuppingerCole hosted first ever Blockchain ID Innovation Night in Munich, Germany. It preceded the four-day European Identity & Cloud Conference (EIC), Europe’s leading event for Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privacy & GDPR, Blockchain Identity, as well as Cybersecurity.
During this exciting 5-hour evening, ten innovators and pioneers in Blockchain Technology and Digital Identity delivered 10-minute slam-style presentations in front of more than 100 attendees and jury of industry experts and technology professionals. The speakers entertained and tried to persuade the public by presenting their ongoing work on using Blockchain Technology for Identity Management.

Over 100 attendees voted for two best slammers, Balazs Nemethi from Taqanu and Dr. Torsten Lodderstedt from YES.com. The winners will hold keynote talks in the main agenda of the EIC 2018 conference. From these two best innovators, the jury awarded the crypto-prize money to one overall winner of the Blockchain ID Innovation Night, Balázs Nemethi. His presentation focused on Horizontally Scalable Blockchain for Identity and Inclusion. Balázs is also nominated for EIC 2018 Identity Awards.
