Wiesbaden, May 15th 2018 – Today KuppingerCole open its doors to their 12th European Identity & Cloud Conference, Europe’s leading event for Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privacy & GDPR, Blockchain ID, as well as Cloud Security and Digital Transformation, in Munich, Germany. With 60 exhibitors and more than 800 participants from all over the world KuppingerCole brought together the world’s leading vendors, end users, thought leaders, visionaries and analysts.
With five parallel tracks, more than 200 international speakers and experts, many Best Practice presentations and 120 hours of relevant content, EIC 2018 provides participants with a comprehensive overview of future trends in Internet security as well as practical information about current projects.
Joerg Resch, Managing Director at KuppingerCole remembers: “More than 12 years ago, the first EIC attracted an already surprisingly large number of practitioners dealing with directory services, user provisioning and single sign-on, as well as vendors, domain experts, thought leaders and analysts. I remember Dick Hardt giving an incredibly visionary keynote on "User-Centrism - The Solution to the Identity Crisis?" at EIC 2007 - a topic which still is highly relevant.”
“Like in previous years, the number of participants and exhibitors has grown steadily”, according to Bettina Buthmann, Head of Events at KuppingerCole. “Not only the number of participants has grown, but also the percentage of end users at the conference, the largest group of EIC participants.” The international reputation of the European Identity & Cloud Conference continues to grow. "This year the conference has drawn participants from 35 countries."
