Sergius Nolle is a seasoned UX expert and digital strategist – with over 30 years of experience spanning design, technology, and cultural change. His career includes leading more than 80 projects across industries and co-founding six startups, showcasing his expertise in user-centered design, marketing strategy, and team leadership. Sergius’s approach is rooted in his architectural background and inspired by observational methods like those of Franco Fanati, emphasizing immersion into user behavior to craft intuitive solutions.

At youniqx Identity AG, Sergius has co-led the ux-development of innovative digital identity systems in collaboration with David Herbst. In close collaboration with all – internal and external – stakeholders they’ve developed secure digital identity systems by combining observational  and participatory methods with ux-engineering expertise. Together, they have delivered transformative solutions such as Austria’s eAusweise-App and Liechtenstein’s eID.li, setting benchmarks for secure and user-centric e-Government applications.

Beyond youniqx, Sergius has launched multiple startups, led diverse design and product teams, and lectured on UX, digital strategy, and transformation. Currently advancing his expertise in Change Management & Leadership, he remains committed to adaptive, user-first innovation in complex systems.

At EIC 2025, Sergius will speak on the panel Cross-Border Identity and Authentication, sharing insights on designing trustworthy, scalable solutions for a connected Europe
