Roman Zoun

Roman has been leading the Digital Wallet Value Stream at Swisscom since 2024. With extensive expertise in Identity & Access Management, Information Security, and Artificial Intelligence, he leverages deep technological understanding to drive the development of future-oriented solutions. Roman’s in-depth knowledge of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), combined with his proficiency in Information Security, EU GDPR, and Swiss Data Protection regulations, enables him to design systems that excel in both data security and user experience.

Since 2023, Roman has been actively involved as a Board Member of DIDAS, where he leads the Adoption Working Group, advocating the widespread acceptance and practical implementation of digital identity solutions. In addition, he serves on the Board of the Open Wallet Foundation since 2024, contributing to the advancement of interoperable and secure identity and wallet technologies. His commitment to these initiatives reflects his passion for shaping the future of digital identity, fostering sustainable, sovereign, and user-centric solutions for a connected society.

Roman holds a doctoral degree in computer science and is based in Switzerland.
