Luigi Castaldo

Luigi Castaldo serves as the Director of the Business Unit Wallet Ecosystem & Certified Communication at Namirial - a pan-European Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP), where he leads the strategic and operational initiatives within the European Digital Identity Wallet Framework.

With extensive expertise in digital identity and trust services, he has successfully directed numerous international ID projects across Europe, working with government entities, large enterprises, and SMEs across various sectors.

He actively contributes to key standardization bodies, including ETSI/ESI, the Technical Working Group of the Cloud Signature Consortium, and Large-Scale Pilots. Through these engagements, he advocates for seamless interoperability across the European Union while also addressing the framework’s technical, regulatory, and commercial aspects to foster a sustainable business model for the EUDI Wallet ecosystem.
