Julian has been a ‘product guy’ since his time at Apple in the late 80s. He has worked on many world firsts from set top boxes and internet games consoles and Newton whilst at Apple: to inventing a micro payment service for mobile phones in the lat 90s based on bank issued digital cash on smart cards, to issuing patents whilst at Barclay for modifications to the Bitcoin protocols. He is now with a UK Fintech applying the principles of self sovereign identity to bank sourced financial data. He describes his role as ‘putting an internet lens onto product strategy’.
