Dimitra Kamarinou

Dimitra Kamarinou, LLM (Birkbeck University), LLM (Queen Mary), is a research assistant to the Cloud Legal Project and the Microsoft Cloud Computing Research Centre  (a collaboration with the University of Cambridge Computer Lab) at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London, where she has worked on projects exploring the various legal aspects of cloud computing as well as the internet of things. Her current research focuses on issues of machine learning and artificial intelligence. A qualified Greek attorney-at-law, Dimitra has worked for commercial law firms and human rights organisations and she was a consultant to two London based Intellectual Property Strategy firms, where she worked alongside a team of scientists, solicitors and patent attorneys advising a wide range of clients, from technology start-ups to multinationals on the management and monetisation of IP. Dimitra has written on issues of data protection, human rights, and she has a forthcoming article on privacy in the cloud.
