Dionysius Antonius Kotteman Programme Director IT Controls, SOC and Bunker

Dion Kotteman has an extensive IT- and security experience within financial institutions, as well as in not–for–profit organisations. He nowadays holds a position as programme director at ING’s banking department and executes global programmes in Identity- and Access management and in Security. He has a six year experience in ING, as well as multi year experience at Rabo Bank, ABN AMRO and Staal Bankiers.

Before going to the financial world, he was a police commissioner, responsible for international and intergovernmental programmes automating the exchange of security related intelligence. He was in charge of the build of the Schengen Information System in the Netherlands and in Europe (this is an international security system that allows lifting border controls in Europe). He worked for Interpol and Europol. He was CIO of the Dutch Criminal Intelligence Service, called CRI. Before that he was CIO of the Dutch State Police. He acted as chairman of many Netherlands EU delegations on security and data exchange.

He holds an executive masters of business administration of Nijenrode University, the Netherlands, and of the Wharton Business School, Pennsylvania University, USA. He publishes frequently in the professional press and presents regularly to international fora, like I-4, ISACA and ISF, lately on Access- and Identity management.

He sings as a hobby and is the chairman of the board of the Residentie Bachkoor, the Hague, a choir that recently was rewarded with a golden record in the national overall chart top100. His most recent publication is a best seller book on Projectsabotage, published in the Netherlands, with Scriptum publishers.
