Philipp Südmeyer

Philipp Südmeyer is a seasoned expert in information security and risk management with over 17 years of professional experience. Currently serving as the Global Head of Non-Financial Risk Management and Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Munich Re, he oversees operational risk management and business continuity planning on a global scale.

Prior to joining Munich Re in 2019, he was the Group CISO at DZ BANK AG, where he spent over six years leading the institution's information security strategy. His earlier career at Deutsche Bank included roles as Security Architect, Project Manager, and Security Analyst, progressing from a graduate trainee to Vice President.

Mr. Südmeyer holds a Dipl.-Ing in IT-Security from Ruhr-Universität Bochum. He is recognized for his expertise in operational risk management, continuity planning, and cybersecurity strategy development.
