Anthony Nadalin is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and chief security architect for Tivoli Software at IBM. He is responsible for security infrastructure design and development across IBM Tivoli and Lotus divisions. Anthony serves as the primary security liaison to Sun Microsystems JavaSoft division for Java security design and development collaboration. In his unique role, Anthony is responsible for identifying, initiating and innovating new security standards within IBM. He has driven the companies security strategy on the systems management level, making security a pervasive component to today’s enterprise infrastructure. He also oversees IBM's contributions to the Eclipse Higgins Project, an industry coalition dedicated to creating open source software for user-centric identity management. Anthony has authored more than thirty technical journal and conference articles, and he has published two books on Java security and the Internet. He co-wrote the Web Services Security (WS-Security family of specifications) standards and other web services standards in conjunction with Microsoft. Prior to his work as liaison to Microsoft, Anthony was a leading and vocal member of industry groups like the Java Community Process and OASIS. He published numerous papers about XML, J2EE and Java specifications, and has been invited to present at numerous conferences worldwide.
