Future of Identity & Decentralization II

Future of Identity & Decentralization II

Track
Wednesday, May 20, 2026 14:30—16:35
Location: B 05

As identity systems evolve, the focus is shifting from static architectures to dynamic, signal-driven identity environments. This track explores how identity is becoming more adaptive, automated, and deeply integrated into real-time decision-making across digital environments.

Sessions will examine how identity platforms are moving beyond predefined rules toward continuous evaluation based on signals, context, and behavior. This includes the rise of policy-based authorization, real-time risk assessment, and orchestration layers that enable identity to respond dynamically to changing conditions. Attendees will gain insight into how these approaches strengthen security while reducing friction and supporting more fluid user and system interactions.

A key theme is the rapid growth of non-human identities. From workloads and pipelines to autonomous agents, these actors now outnumber human users and introduce new challenges in governance, accountability, and trust. The track will explore how to manage their lifecycle, control access, and reduce risk in environments where traditional identity models are no longer sufficient.

The emergence of AI-driven actors also raises new questions about delegation and intent. As systems begin to act on behalf of users in areas such as digital transactions and service orchestration, identity frameworks must ensure that these actions remain transparent, controlled, and aligned with user expectations.

Finally, the track will address how innovation is reshaping the foundations of identity itself. From accelerating integration through automation to rethinking how trust is established and maintained, attendees will gain a clearer understanding of how identity is adapting to a world defined by continuous change, increasing autonomy, and growing complexity.
