While AI introduces new attack vectors and security risks, AI agents are also emerging as autonomous actors that interact with applications, data, and business processes on behalf of users.
This session examines the evolving threat landscape created by AI and highlights practical approaches for mitigating these risks. A particular focus will be placed on the impact of AI agents on Identity and Access Management (IAM). As organizations increasingly deploy autonomous and semi-autonomous agents, traditional identity concepts must evolve to address new challenges around authentication, authorization, accountability, governance, and lifecycle management.
Drawing on experiences from Lufthansa Group's AI security program, the presentation provides insights into how identity architectures can be adapted to securely support both human and non-human identities while maintaining Zero Trust principles and effective security governance.
