Enterprise IAM and eID on-boarding to SAP Cloud Applications
15:35—15:55

This session will highlight how the global Swedish manufacturer Husqvarna are integrating an existing IAM system to SAP Cloud Identity Service (CIS) and SAP Identity Access Governance (IAG) including re-using their existing role and rights authorizations access request system and this is connected via SAP API’s to deliver a end-to-end user on-onboarding experience all the way through to SAP S4/HANA.

Furthermore the session will dive into the challenges and solutions for on-boarding special use cases like warehouse and manufacturing workers, handheld devices and how Husqvarna has simplified and secured this process utilizing eID services and the FIDO2 authentication method with smart card.

SAP IdM and Beyond - Through The Eyes Of The Customers
15:55—16:15

The German SAP User group, short DSAG, has many areas of expertise and its various Workgroups are entirely managed by volunteers from all over the industries. It has been active almost as long as SAP itself. The Identity Access Management Workgroup is part of the Security & Vulnerability group and was in the past years strongly focused on SAP's IdM tool - it was even named after it. But recently the group's focus became much broader and challenged with an unprecedented event. SAP announcing End-of-Life of its IdM tool for 2027 affects over 1500 customers worldwide. All these customers face the same and enormous task to migrate from one IAM tool to another within the next 3-6 years. SAP did not name a concrete predecessor, but gave only a strong recommendation for Microsoft Entra ID together with SAPs Cloud Identity Services. Thus the customers are not equipped with a clear migration path, but each one needs to find out on its own, which IAM is the customers best fit and then plan and carry out the migration by themselves.
But they are not alone. The DSAG Identity Access Management Workgroup aims at supporting customers on this path and addressing their issues with the SAP and also with Microsoft. We bring together customers from all industries with different maturity levels of IAM implementations. In the past year alone various task forces have been started within the group, spanning from researching known migration experiences with different IAM vendors to deep diving into SAP's and Microsoft's solutions.
Here we want to share the results of these efforts so far, representing a unique accumulation of customer perspectives on this to-remain-vivid topic. Learn also, why SAPs decision, to cut off the product, will provide us a better IAM solution within a bright future!
Who Let The Dogs Out At Fressnapf- Future IAM Best Practices At Europe's Biggest Pet Retailer
16:15—16:35

Fressnapf is Europe's biggest pet retailer running over 2.100 stores in Germany and Europe with more than 18.000 employees.
They all need fast and easy access to their daily applications, because their time should be spend with the customers and not with IT.

Since 2017 Fressnapf uses SAP Identity Management to manage its workforce IAM, but SAP has announced End-of-Life for SAP IDM for 2027.
In its place, SAP recommends Microsoft Entra ID as a replacement. Yet, Entra ID has not been on the IAM map for long, with other IAM players being seemingly more prominent.

Nonetheless, Fressnapf has strategically placed Entra ID in its landscape for authentication even before SAP IDM's End-of-Life was announced.
We therefore wanted to explore early on Entra IDs IAM capabilities and best practices for our purposes. We will here present preliminary results from our collaboration with Microsoft on this topic.
