· Automated enforcement and takedown requests for infringing content or products.
· Capabilities for intellectual property rights management, including trademark, copyright, and trade secret protection.
· Real-time alerting and incident reporting.
· AI/ML-driven brand abuse detection across multiple content types, including text, images, and video.
· Multi-language monitoring and cross-border enforcement capabilities.
· Brand intelligence gathering from surface, deep, and dark web sources.
· Product authentication, verification, and counterfeit detection mechanisms.
· Governance and policy enforcement to standardize brand protection strategies across global operations.
· Supply chain tracking and monitoring to detect diversion and unauthorized distribution.
· Detection of impersonation, fraudulent accounts, and phishing attempts across online platforms.
· Continuous monitoring of app stores for cloned or fraudulent applications.
· Risk assessment models to prioritize incidents for remediation and enforcement.
· Tools and playbooks to support crisis response and brand reputation management.
· Integration with legal case management systems and intellectual property rights databases.
Inclusion Criteria
In this Leadership Compass, we are evaluating solutions that incorporate the essential components required for a Brand Protection platform. The inclusion criteria include:
• Solutions must demonstrate capabilities in the majority of the functional areas listed above.
Exclusion Criteria
• Vendors that only provide traditional anti-counterfeiting or trademark registration services without broader digital brand protection capabilities.
• Pureplay Digital Risk Protection (DRP) solutions, since these are covered in the Leadership Compass on Attack Surface Management (ASM).
