We want to give our attendees, partners, service contractors, and employees the best possible experience and we strongly believe that this experience needs to be hygienically safe and eco-friendly.

Current status: August 1st, 2022. This hygiene concept is subject to modifications according to current German laws and regulations.

It is in our greatest interest to protect everyone from a virus infection or other registrable disease by considering all necessary precautionary measures during the planning and execution of CSLS 2022.

The following precautionary measures apply for attending CSLS 2022 on-site in Berlin. We would like to appeal to the individual responsibility of each and everyone as well as an attentive and conscious on-site participation to ensure the own safety as well as the safety of others.

How we ensure that CSLS 2022 is Clean & Safe

We recommend to keep a safety distance between all participants, at all times and in all areas.

Hygiene articles (mouth and nose protection mask (FFP2), hand sanitizer, and surface disinfecting tissues) are available at the check-in counter.

Hand sanitizer dispenser is placed at the check-in counter.

Frequently touched surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis.

Catering is organized in a way that keeps minimum distance and minimizes contact points.

Wearing an FFP2/medical mask indoors is not mandatory but highly recommended for all participants – also at the seating area.

Access to the conference is not restricted, but we recommend attendance only for vaccinated, recovered, and/or negative tested persons.

There is no test center on-site. However, if you want to test yourself before entering the conference location, there are several test centers around the Humboldt Carré within walking distance to the conference location. Find the closest one here: https://www.direkttesten.berlin/ .

Mechanical ventilation in the rooms and regular airing during the breaks creates fresh air.

If COVID-19 symptoms occur shortly before the conference, please refrain from attending on-site.

How we ensure that CSLS 2022 is Green

Digitization of communication wherever possible: Information is shared digitally or printed on recycled paper

Promotion of low-carbon travelling: A conscious way of traveling with low carbon dioxide emissions is encouraged, e.g. arrival/departure by train

Use of sustainable materials and packaging: Washable, reusable, recyclable, or compostable items are preferred

Focus on eco- and animal-friendly catering: Organic, fair-trade, and regional as well as vegan and/or vegetarian beverages and dishes are served.
