Trust Framework Interoperability: Lessons from EU Projects - and What We Do with Them Now

Combined Session
Friday, May 22, 2026 10:50—11:10
Location: A 05-06

Trust frameworks are a core building block for digital identity and data ecosystems, yet interoperability between frameworks remains a persistent challenge. In this talk, I share practical lessons from EU‑funded projects such as LIGHTest and TRAIN, which explored technical trust infrastructures and cross‑framework validation. Building on this experience, I introduce current work on a Trust Framework Compatibility Tool being led by SIDI Hub that helps stakeholders systematically compare frameworks, identify gaps, and improve interoperability - turning years of research into practical decision support.
