Dr. Christos Patsonakis is a postdoctoral research associate at CERTH/ITI. He received his BSc from the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2010. He received his MSc on Computer Systems Technologies with honorary excellence from the same institution in 2012. He received his PhD on “Provably Secure, Smart Contract-based Naming Services: Design, Implementation and Evaluation” from the same institution in 2019. He has authored three (3) papers in international scientific peer reviewed journals and seven (7) papers in international scientific peer reviewed conferences. He has been involved in five (5) research projects funded by the European Commission (EC) and the Greek Secretariat of Research and Technology (GSRT). His main research interests lie in the fields of distributed systems, byzantine fault-tolerant agreement algorithms, applied cryptography, decentralized identity management, distributed ledger technologies, blockchains and smart contracts.
