Secrecy in the Post Wikileaks Era

Keynote
Thursday, May 12, 2011 09:00—09:30
Location: Auditorium

Secrecy is likely to be an unavoidable element of all human organizations. Some scholars have even argued that secrecy is essential in order to establish any form of social order. Said so, there are three questions that arise:

  1. Why do we still need secrecy in the information society?
  2. What do we keep secret, how, and from whom?
  3. What is the relationship between secrecy and identity in a networked environment?
