Implementing the "Data Retention Law" for an IT-Service Provider in Germany - a Case Study
- TYPE: Combined Session DATE: Thursday, May 07, 2009 TIME: 15:00-16:00 LOCATION: GALAXIS
As GaVI faced the requirement of implementing a central and integrated management solution for logfile- and event management. In addition to that internal requirements, it was necessary to find a solution to be compliant for the purpose of the "data retention law". The intention of this law is to store data for the federal government, which allows them to follow the virtual traces of people who act in fraudulent intention. GaVI, as an Internet Service Provider, has the responsibility to transpose these legal requirements. This session, presented by GaVI, explains the details of this high prioritized security project. It will be shown that the GaVI Solution has a generic, quality management system in an architecture, which allows an easy integration.
