The world of business application is changing. More and more businesses opt for a cloud first strategy and shift to SaaS applications, not only from SAP. Thus, critical business services are provided not only from traditional, ABAP-based SAP environments anymore, but from a range of business services, which are loosely coupled and can be orchestrated flexibly. This evolution will destroy SAP siloes, sometimes earlier, sometime later – but probably faster than most expect. This impacts IT organization (no SAP silo organization anymore), it impacts the way business services are implemented and orchestrated (agile and as-a-service, with lesser lock-in), and it impacts the way business must deal with cybersecurity, access controls, privacy, and other requirements for their business services. Martin Kuppinger will talk about the changing requirements in managing identity, access, privacy, and security for business applications and how to address these in a way that prepares for the changing ecosystem of these services.
